This is my first time playing a melee class character. I chose Barbarian with multiclass into fighter and this is where I have a question. I am currently Barbarian level 8 and I just got my 5th level of Fighter. My Barbarian gets 2 actions/attacks per turn, my fighter class at level 5 gave me its 2nd action/attack per turn, So how many actual actions/attacks do I get? Cause when I looked at my character sheet it only says 2 actions.
Extra Attack: If you gain the Extra Attack class feature from more than one class, the features don’t add together. You can’t make more than two attacks with this feature unless it says you do (as the fighter’s version of Extra Attack does). Similarly, the warlock’s eldritch invocation Thirsting Blade doesn’t give you additional attacks if you also have Extra Attack.
unless you plan to go substantially higher as a fighter (or at the very least to 6th level for the additional ASI), I wouldn't bother going past the 4th level ASI.
Yeah, multiclassing into two separate martials is generally discouraged after getting to level 4 in both of them, for the reasons that you just found. Unless you've got your eyes on a higher level fighter feature, you might want to talk with your DM to see if you can move your levels around a bit. Most DMs would probably understand, since it's not like there would be any necessary story explanation.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

Extra Attack from multiple source doesn't stack you only get 2 attacks per action. Also you only have 1 action/turn, unless you use Action Surge.
Here are the rules if you wonder;
thanks I feel like an idiot for not seeing that in the book.

I often suggest taking a ranger dip to level 5 for pass without trace (especially for assassin/gloomstalker multiclass), but that is an exception.
