I’m confused with the wording of Wish. It says “Finally, there is a 33 percent chance that you are unable to cast wish ever again if you suffer this stress.”
Is there only a chance of undergoing the stress, is it when you cast the spell again before taking a long rest, or is it just whenever you cast the spell?
Wish doesn't let you modify a spell like that, it does allow you to reroll a failure but if you are suffering from that stress, you'd need somebody else to cast wish at that point where they are risking the same stress and you can still fail the reroll, a luck blade could be one way around that tho.
“You may wish for something not included in any of the other effects. To do so, state your wish to the DM as precisely as possible. The DM has great latitude in ruling what occurs in such an instance; the greater the wish, the greater the likelihood that something goes wrong.”
Technically, you could wish to never feel intense pain, right? I’d assume the reason you couldn’t cast it again is because the pain is so intense you literally can’t cast it anymore.

To quote Matt Mercer: well, you could certainly try. But DMs are given broad latitude to twist or veto a Wish outside of replicating lower level spells, so trying to game the system like that will probably get you a “ha, no, you can’t include that part” if your DM is forgiving or a “ha, no- your Wish fails, roll for exhaustion effects” if they’re feeling more punitive.
As a side note, I love the detail that the Lady of Pain is specifically tapped to veto if you try to break the multiverse or Sigil.
Ah, makes sense. Another question i have is, what would happen if you wished for the negative effects of wish to not effect you?
As a DM, I'd allow it for only that particular casting of Wish, not on any future castings. Trying to do more would simply make it fail due to stretching it beyond its limits.

Seems like that would be your wish then. You don't get two wishes with one spell. You don't get to wish for a really good turkey sandwich and that the negative effects don't happen, that's two things. So, If you want to cast wish, and your wish is basically that you'll be able to cast wish again, I'd allow that.

It's when you use any effect of wish, except for using it to cast a spell of 8th level or lower.
