The Two-Weapon Fighting Style states: "When you make an extra attack as a result of using a weapon that has the Light property, you can add your ability modifier to the damage of that attack if you aren’t already adding it to the damage." Which means that if you're using a Light weapon in your off-hand, you get your stat modifiers for that weapon.
The Dual- Wielder Feat states (aside from drawing and stowing two weapons and the stat bonus): "When you take the Attack action on your turn and attack with a weapon that has the Light property, you can make one extra attack as a Bonus Action later on the same turn with a different weapon, which must be a Melee weapon that lacks the Two-Handed property. You don’t add your ability modifier to the extra attack’s damage unless that modifier is negative."
Does this mean that there is NO WAY to fight with two non-Light weapons, even with the Fighting Style and the Feat to do so? If this is so, it seems like a HUGE nerf especially because the Dual-Wielder Feat lost the +1 to AC from the 2014 rules.

Well, there's nothing stopping you from holding two non-light one-handed weapons in your hands at the same time (and, if you have Extra Attack, making attacks with both of them on the same turn). But you're correct that Dual Wielder doesn't allow you to make an extra attack as a bonus action in that case. This does represent a significant change from the 2014 version.
