"Elemental Cataclysm. As a Magic action, you can expend a spell slot to cause elemental energy to burst in a 10-foot-radius Sphere centered on a point within 60 feet of yourself. Choose a damage type: Acid, Cold, Fire, or Lightning.
Each creature in the Sphere must make a DC X Dex. saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 1d6 damage of the chosen type per level of the spell slot expended, and then has Vulnerability to that damage type for 1 minute. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage only. The target repeats the save at the end of each of its turns, ending the Vulnerability on a success."
The question I wanted to pose is "when does the vulnerability kick in on a failed save? Is it immediately, thus doubling the initial damage score due to vulnerability, or is it after the full damage effect resolves?"

"and then has Vulnerability to that damage type" nvm, I solved my own inquiry
