I’m DMing my first campaign and one of my players is a Scout Rogue tiefling. She selected the Abyssal background as a tiefling, so she has access to the ray of sickness spell. What I don’t understand is that on her character sheet it gives her the option of either 2d8 or 10d8 damage. Both are listed as first level spells— the only difference is the damage dice. When I look under her spells only the 2d8 damage is listed. Does anyone know what causes this? When I click on the 10d8 option it says it’s being cast as a 9th level spell?! Her character is level 3. Is this a glitch?

DDB shouldn't display this, a Tiefling Rogue can't upcast ray of sickness as its cast without a spell slot.

Rest assured that a level 3 character will not be casting level 9 spells 🤣 2d8 is the damage you are looking for on ray of sickness.

Can you link or screenshot the character sheet?
