I saw some YouTube videos that mention how pairing the healer feat with thief rogue means a player can use battle medic as a bonus action (and action) while still benefitting from healing rerolls. There is a licensed 3rd party rogue subclass from Griffon's Saddlebag Volume 2 called grim surgeon rogue. It has a medic feature that allows for healing from kit as bonus action. Does it also benefit from rerolls?
Battle Medic requires a Utilize action to activate and a Thief Rogue can perform a Utilize action as a Bonus Action. Therefore, they can heal as a Bonus Action.
The Healing Rerolls portion affects only the Battle Medic feature or spells that restore Hit Points.
In order to benefit from the rerolls, Grim Surgeon's Medic feature would need to:
Allow the Rogue to use Battle Medic as a Bonus Action
Allow the Rogue to Utilize as a Bonus Action
Potentially, allow the Rogue to Utilize a Healer's Kit depending on the wording (it needs to allow for any Utilize action involving a Healer's Kit and just their standard use.)
Cast a spell that restores Hit Points by rolling dice.
If it doesn't do any of the above, Medic does not benefit from Healing Rerolls.

The Healing Reroll is for Whenever you roll a die to determine the number of Hit Points you restore with a spell or with this feat's Battle Medic benefit, which isn't the cast if you do it with Medic benefit instead.
