In 2014, the expertise feature, the ranger variant ability canny, and the scout's survivalist feature all let you to double your proficiency bonus on a skill modifier. If I wanted to, would this allow a potential ranger/rogue multiclass to have a bonus to survival or nature of 8*proficiency bonus+int/wis modifier by putting all the doubling abilities on either survival or nature?
Occasionally, a Proficiency Bonus might be multiplied or divided (doubled or halved, for example) before being added. For example, the Expertise feature (see the Rules Glossary) doubles the Proficiency Bonus for certain ability checks. Whenever the bonus is used, it can be multiplied only once and divided only once.
