The Hermit background grants the Healer feat, not Magic Initiate.
Acolyte is the only background in official content that grants the Cleric version of Magic Initiate as of this writing. As far as third-party content available on D&D Beyond, there's also the Heretic background from Grim Hollow.
Another option of Creating a Background exist for Creating a unique background or customizing an existing one so perhaps you may ask your DM to replace an existing background's Origin Feat for Magic Initiate Cleric.
Also worth noting that a Human character gets a second Origin Feat at character creation, which would allow them to grab Magic Initiate regardless of their background, and Warlocks can take any Origin Feat as an Eldritch Invocation starting at class level 2.

gods I wish there was a search engine or filter that would allow me to search backgrounds based on the origin feats...
Aside from
HermitAcolyte , can anyone list a background that grants Magic Initiate Cleric? This includes the 3rd party or partnered content.

Good catch. I was typing from memory and I messed up. Thanks.
Custom Background can take any Origin they like, and is always available pure RAW, fwiw.
