What's the difference between "Psionic Damage" & "Psychic Damage" in D&D? Essential differences? Differences in regards to flavor and descriptions? Themes and motifs of each? How would you know which one to use in homebrew Spell? How would you express each one as art/image? Anything else you might have to say about either type of damage . . .
My impression is that "Psychic Damage" tends to involve using the magic power of your character's mind to inflict psychological pain to (the mind of) another creature and that "Psionic Damage" tends to involve moving or otherwise altering physical things in the world with the power of your character's mind. Is that basically right? Is there more to it? (How to have more fun with each type, like in terms of descriptions and flavor?)
No need to apologize for asking for help. I'm not a big fan of the "no such thing" response, when I can instead say that the thing you are asking about is represented a little differently in-game.

…there is no such thing as psionic damage; not in this edition. Just psychic damage.
Come participate in the Competition of the Finest Brews, Edition XXVIII?
My homebrew stuff:
Spells, Monsters, Magic Items, Feats, Subclasses.
I am an Archfey, but nobody seems to notice.

MilestoGo_24 is correct in 5E there is no Psionic damage, or even a class with such name.
Or, if you prefer, psionic damage is represented in 5e as psychic damage. The mind flayer, a psionic spellcaster, inflicts psychic damage.

Thank you! (and also sorry)
