At 10th level a spore druid can dose an area in her spores, all in the 10' cube who enter or start the turn there take spore damage. No problems so far. Unfortunately as worded that means allies and even the druid themselves (who is generating the spores) are hurt by them. Has this been addressed as being intentional? Any knowledge appreciated. Thank you!
I noticed that when we were going through the Ravnica book initially - it definitely seems on purpose, I guess in the same way that most area combat spells are also harmful to the caster and their allies.
As a generic magic effect I get that, but as something the spore druid generates and then can choke on personally it infers the spore druid is toxic to itself. If that's the intent all well and good but there is a joke there about the subclass :) It prevents drop spore / hold a chokepoint inside them option as well.

Hi there,
