Some creatures have resistance to certain types of damage as long as its nonmagical like slashing, so if I hit a creature with a weapon that slashes but the weapon is magical like a +1 the resistance doesn't matter because the weapon is considered magical right? so what about a resistance like this Damage ResistancesPiercing and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks that aren't Adamantine. Does that mean even if it's magical it doesn't matter because the weapon isn't adamantine? There's is also some that say if that isn't Silvered.
1) yes, where the resistance is against non-magical slashing/piercing/bludgeoning, any magical weapon or anything that confers the benefit of magical damage (it'll usually expressly say so) will get through the resistance
2) It does what it says it does. " Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks that aren't Adamantine " If the damage-dealing portion of a non-magical weapon is not made of adamantine, it resists. Otherwise, it does not. In other words, you may have a non-magical weapon, but if it happens to be a non-magical sword with a adamantine blade, you're sweet. Same goes with silvered. If it's a mundane weapon with silvering (such as to go vampire hunting) then you're set to go for vampire hunting! Both of these do not reference damage from magical weapons. They are not non-magical attacks, therefore, unless there is some other source of resistance listed, they will do full damage.
