Question:
According to the players handbook, “proficiency in a skill means an individual can add his or her proficiency bonus to ability checks that involve that skill.” So let's say you're level 1, your charisma is 17 and you have +3 to charisma. If you have proficiency in performance, and you have +5 to performance and your proficiency is +2, do you then add 7 to your performance roll?
