What happens if you try to use tree form on a vertical earth surface (such as clift, inside of a cave or after casting move earth), does the tree grows sidewise and destroy everithing in a 60 ft line? I know that tres normal y grow upward in thoes conditions, but this is a ver y fast and magic efect (meaning that light doesnt guide the tree to grow)
Staff of the woodlands says the tree appears ordinary, so however a tree would grow at that angle, the staff grows. It also only says that the staff transforms and bot that anything is destroyed. I like to think of it as a sapling growing at an accelerated rate rather than "pop, Insta tree."
Yeah i know, i was thinking in the situation where the party is fighting on a clift, the druid casts move earth to create a cube and plant the staff horizontaly and push the foe down the hill, or in the case of beinng fighting in a cave, use the staff in the wall and crush the enemy against the wall
