No, Sharpshooter wouldn't affect a dagger, which is a melee weapon. The dagger gains a range because it has the thrown property, which allows the wielder to make a ranged attack with a melee weapon.
The key difference for the Sharpshooter feat is that it applies to ranged weapons (and not necessarily to weapons with range).

To be more specific, Sharpshooter's first two features work with thrown daggers, but the third does not. A thrown dagger is a ranged weapon attack, but it is not an attack with a ranged weapon.

Interesting... I've always read those first two lines as being a ranged weapon attack (i.e., attacking with a ranged weapon) versus a ranged weapon attack (i.e., making a ranged attack with a weapon), which would be why I wouldn't have let the feat apply to throwing daggers. I can see how it might have been intended otherwise, though. Definitely some ambiguous wording from a RAW standpoint, since it could be read either way.
Sharpshooter feat applies to ranged weapons
a Dagger has a range, but isn't in the Ranged Section, does Sharpshooter apply to it?
My guess is not but I have doubt. :)

That's what I thought just wanted to clarify
Thanks

Yes it can be read both ways in the text, I was leaning towards no as it is called sharpSHOOTER and you don't shoot a dagger....?
