Can I use Summon Celestial and order it to fail its next Charisma save then use Divine Intervention to cast Planar Binding to bypass the cast time and cost?
Thereby, Binding the Celestial to me for now 24hrs and removing my need to concentrate on it?
Planar binding has an hour cast time. You must use concentration to cast it, which means your concentration on any other spell, including summon celestial, would be broken.
There would definitely be a DM ruling on whether “fail your next cha save” falls under “follows your commands” it might work by RAW, it’s not likely under RAI.
And I know if I were DMing, that celestial might be pretty pissed about the whole situation once the time had passed — depending on what your reason were and what you had it do.
