So at 11th level; the artificer gains the ability for storing a spell in an item. It says that it takes 1 action to activate it does this mean that if the artificer were to store a shield spell with a reaction casting time on it. Would taking an action at the start of combat.
A. Activate the ability and allow the caster to use Shield as a reaction equal to the number of times you can expend charges? Or B. Activate it once causing the spell to have a longer casting time than normal?

The spell you store with that feature must be one with the casting time of an Action. You cannot store a reaction spell using it.
aw dang....he's right...so much for having an armorer with essentially an ac of 28 all the time XD
