Monks also can spend 1 ki point to take the Dash action as a bonus action with their Step of the Wind feature though, making the feat not as useful as those that can't do so.
I would advise against this. The Charger feat is meant to allow you to at least make one attack even if you need to move far. Monks already have lots of mobility and can attack or dash as a bonus action. The Charger feat is a worse option almost all of the time (the +5 damage still helps).
Yeah, the action economy here is pretty bad, especially on Monks. Using the Attack action, a Monk can already attack and Dash, or make up to two additional attacks. Charger is sacrificing that Action for a single bonus action attack, something Monks can already do pretty much at will. Keep in mind that when you make a melee attack, you have the option to replace an attack roll with an attempt to shove already.

I'm thinking of taking the charger feat as a monk
Can I uses flurry of blows, stunning strike etc with this feat.
I'm imagining a running bicycle kick to the forehead
Can I still use a reaction after using this feat (for attack of opportunity say)
Can I split the dash up eg. Move 40 then shove then move the remainder of my movement
Thanks for any advice
Using the Charger feat when you use your action to Dash, you can use a bonus action to make one melee weapon attack or to shove a creature.
While you can use Stunning Strike on this attack, you can't use Flurry of Blows because you aren't taking the Attack action.
Using the feat doesn't prevent reaction to make an Opportunity Attack.
You can break up your movement on your turn, using some of your speed before and after your action.
Monks also can spend 1 ki point to take the Dash action as a bonus action with their Step of the Wind feature though, making the feat not as useful as those that can't do so.
