In the past, most temporary HP classes I've used ended up using some form of necromancy to create them. I'm creating a character for a new Eberron campaign, and under the Artifacer, Artillerist sub-class I noticed the Protector Cannon-(copied from D&D Beyond class description, not sure of the page number)
Protector
The cannon emits a burst of positive energy that grants itself and each creature of your choice within 10 feet of it a number of temporary hit points equal to 1d8 + your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1).
Would temporary HP given by positive energy harm undead?
Obviously, at 1d8+IntMod, it's not a lot of damage, but curious if that would make sense. I'll likely ask my DM when I see him digitally Friday
No. 5e has no rules like “Cure Wounds damages undead and Inflict Wounds heals them” the way 3e did. Effects that harness positive/negative energy affect all creature types the same way.
