Hey so im gonna play a wizard necro and i have been wandering, can i use all my lv spell slots to cast the same spell? (exp i have 2 lv3 spell slots and i prepare animate dead, can i use both the 3rd lv spell slots to cast animate dead, like cast it 2 times? im wandering because i want to have alot of skeleton maids for the group and i dont know if it is possible. I guess its the same with any spell ,but i just want to make sure.) im new so pls excuse my lack of understanding, also im from greece so sry my english is incorrect
Your basic idea is correct. 5e isn't like previous editions that required you to prepare a specific spell for each spell slot available. Your spell slots can be used by any of the spells you have prepared, so long as the spell slot being used is at least equal to the level of the spell being cast.
I presume you're talking about the 3rd level spell Animate Dead, rather than the 5th level spell Raise Dead, yes? You can use both of your 3rd level spell slots to cast Animate Dead twice.
You can also "upcast" your spells by using a spell slot of a level higher than that of the spell itself. I.e., if you had Inflict Wounds prepared, you could use any of your 1st/2nd/3rd level spell slots to cast it, and using a higher level slot generally means you get more of an effect out of the spell. Inflict Wounds increases the damage dealt by 1d10 for each level of the higher spell slot used.

You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
Short answer: Yes. You can cast any known/prepared spell any number of times as long as you have a slot of equal or higher level than the spell's level.
