So I’m doing a fighter build and I made it dual wielding long swords with the dual wielder feat so that’s his thing most turns going in using all his attacks and then getting the extra one for a bonus action totaling for 5 attacks a turn at level 20 but he also has some javelins could I have a long sword in one hand a javelin in the other and still gain dual wielding benefits?
Javelins are one-handed melee weapons, so yes, as long as you have the Dual Wielder feat, you can absolutely use them with Two-Weapon Fighting. This includes throwing them as a ranged attack, as per the Two-Weapon Fighting rules regarding thrown weapons.
