Ok I had a spelljammer question that popped in my head due to the flying citadel in Dragonlance. So with the citadel it functions like a spelljammer ship just slower. Well it also mentions that of no one is piloting it the citadel just stays in the sky motionless. Thats not mentioned with a spelljammer ship. So does the ship just drop from the sky?

That is something that a comprehensive spelljammer rule book would probably cover. Unfortunately, there hasn't been one of those in 5e...
Thank you, honestly I have a million thoughts about this stuff.
I think the idea is that the spelljammer has momentum thus continues forward but does not fall out of the sky.
