I want to ask a question about the spell wall of fire and how the initial damage works. I looked up alot of other similar questions but with more questions that i search up they don't really 100% tell me the answer that i am looking for. The question is: The wall of fire does initial damage towards anyone in it's area and let's them make a dexterity saving throw. My question is does the initial damage also includes the second effect of the 10ft. damage aura so that the moment you cast the spell every person inside of the wall and within 10ft. of the damage side has to make the saving throw for the damage?
Or is the initial damage only for those that are within that 60 feet long, 20 feet high and 1ft. thick wall of fire and not in the 10 feet of the burning side?
The second effect has very specific conditions under which it applies: if a creature ends its turn within ten feet of the wall. That doesn’t happen when the wall is first summoned, and it can only ever happen to one creature per turn (the creature whose turn it is).
