Precisely, if spellbook was destroyed (burnt, dissolved, torn to pieces) – can you move consciousness to new one and restore all unmemorized spells?
Last paragraph of the feature led to this question: “If the previous book still existed somewhere, all the spells vanish from its pages.” What happens with sentience after its host is destroyed?
That sentence is in case your book is lost or stolen and to prevent PCs from duplicating their books for free.
The second to last sentence clearly states the replacement book has all of your old spells. The consciousness is created by magic and not physical. If the book is destroyed, you lose the ability to interact with it, but there is no reason for it to be permanently lost.
How can the Awakened Spell be destroyed other than Dispel Magic? Is it hard to hit would 1 hit do it or an area effect?
Unless I've missed it somewhere there's no explicit way to destroy the book; it cannot be targeted directly as effects that target or affect objects almost always specify one that isn't being worn or carried, or are too limited in what they can target to affect a spellbook. As a general rule, gear is just part of a character and usually ignored except for any effects they grant.
So it's purely in the realm of DM fiat; i.e- if an enemy were able to steal your spellbook, they could presumably try burning it or whatever, but it'd be up to your DM whether they can succeed. The Awakened Spellbook is not explicitly defined as a magic item, but there's plenty of reason to consider it one, in which you'd normally need magic (or a magic item) to destroy it with.
While dispel magic can end the Manifest Mind, this does nothing to the spellbook itself.

Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.

The awakened spellbook is just a spellbook. All the normal stuff can destroy it (water, fire, a shredder). But damaging held items isn't easy (so disarm maybe).
The manifest mind as far as I can tell is invulnerable to damage and only goes away from the things listed in its effect.
