Can the base time only be doubled to 2 min max or can it be doubled from 2, to 4, to 8, to 16 and so on until the 24hr cap? Like doubled to 2, then 3, then 4 and so on?
Unless stated otherwise, metamagic can only be applied once per spell. Extended Spell has no exemption to that. So, you can only double the 1 min to 2 min.
