Hello, dndbeyond. I am a very mean GM and one of my players has chosen turtle race for his PC. So my question is “Can turtle eat same food as humans do?” My point is that this race is humanoid, but still has metabolism of a real turtle. I am not really into lore of DnD, so If I am wrong — please explain

However, what diet is correct for a tortle is up to you as a DM. Generally, I would put them as herbivores and let them eat most plants and fruit. Salad, cucumbers, etc. are all suitable.

Reading up a bit, you can go with almost everything. From fish, to shellfish, to algae, maybe seagras, generally plants, but also insects, snails, worms... there is a lot possible.

I would use that to flavor the Tortle a bit in game without punishing the player.
