I've got an EXP icon next to the Perception skill on the character builder and it is giving me a higher bonus then I would expect.
Lvl 3 Rogue as a 12 WIS so with getting a free Perception proficiency from the Elf Keen Senses I would expect a +3 to Perception but its giving me a +5.

The Expertise feature of the Rogue doubles your proficiency bonus for the selected skill.
