Hey everyone! I've been playing a lurker in the deep warlock and have some questions about the spell grasp of the deep. It summons a spectral tentacle for a minute that can both attack and absorb damage meant for allies. However, can it be targeted directly? It would make sense to me that if it can absorb damage then you could attack it, but what would it's HP be? And what kind of damage would be effective? I'm thinking probably not physical since it's spectral? Thoughts?
It cannot be targeted directly as it's not designated as a creature or object, and has no HP. "Spectral" implies incorporeality; it's just magic, but that may change if the subclass ever makes it out of UA.
You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
