There is still a lot about 5th edition that I'm learning, but one thing I have not seen is any sort of strength or ability drain in spells. Are there any such spells in 5th edition?

There are some spells and features that can sap life from a target and transfer a portion of it to the creature using the spell or feature, yes.

There’s feeblemind, but it’s an 8th level spell, and campaigns that get to that point are kind of rare.
