I'm still fairly new to playing and I'm so confused by the shifters. From what I've gather they always have animal characteristics and when they shift it can be from a bit more hair to werewolf/anthro kinda thing. But how long does it last?
The book says 1 minute, until they die, or until they revert back to their normal form. But if they don't revert back do they automatically go back after the minute?

Yes after a minute Shifting ends and you revert back to your normal appearance.
The “or until they revert back to their normal form” phrase is there to enable the Shifter to revert before the minute expires (or they expire), should they so choose.
