OK. I've been searching for a while and can't for the life of me find anything on this. When you cast speak with plants it's a 30ft radius centered on you with a duration of 10 minutes. Does it move with you or is it stationary? I've been at war with myself on this, as everytime I read it I argue one way then the other. Help me... please and thank you.
The spell says "You imbue plants within 30 feet of you", so only the plants within 30 feet from the caster at the moment of the casting receive the benefits.
Thank you so much! I was being thrown off by the duration aspect.
So when a "self" spell is cast and it has a radius, the wording "x within y feet of you takes z effect" it means it happens once? Kinda like a pulse instead of an aura... but that effect persists in the affected area for the duration so long as other conditions remain favorable for the spell to persist. I take it the description will tell me if the spell moves with me or functions as an aura? *slight newbie sorry*
"Self" means basically that the point of origin of your spell can be only your location. Then it is up to the spell description to say how big is the affected area and other things.
The effects last for the time specified in "Duration".

You have nothing to be sorry about ;-)
