I'm gonna play a battle Smith (we start at lvl 3) in an upcoming campaign where I have a shield and a pistol and are gonna serves as the party's tank. I took the Gunner feat to be able to fight in close combat with the "Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn’t impose disadvantage on your ranged attack rolls" part of the feat but I started to wonder if it affects opportunity attacks? I heard one mention that the Crossbow expert feat made it possible to do ranged opportunity attacks without disadvantage, do Gunner do that too? Can't really read anything about it on either feats <~<
Ranged opportunity attacks do not exist. Opportunity attacks are only triggered when something leaves the reach of a melee weapon.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.

You can make an opportunity attack when a hostile creature that you can see moves out of your reach. To make the opportunity attack, you use your reaction to make one melee attack against the provoking creature. The attack occurs right before the creature leaves your reach.
The Crossbow Expert and Gunner feats don't provide a specific exception for this, they just let you ignore the disadvantage for being within 5 feet of an enemy; the attacks you make with those weapons are still otherwise ranged attacks.
This differs from the War Caster feat which explicitly enables you to cast spells as opportunity attacks, and these don't even need to be attacks (melee or otherwise), so long as they cost an action to cast and target only the triggering creature. However the range is still dependent upon your melee reach.
Your DM is always free to rule differently of course, as the attacks are effectively melee attacks for you (you can make them at close range) but this would be overriding the rules as written.

That does make sense :O I normally don't play ranged classes other then Spellcasters but now that it has been pointed out, I can see why ranged opportunity attack isn't a thing! Feeling a bit dumb about that xD Thanks for the help tho! :D

I wouldn't feel dumb about it; the D&D rules are complicated and spread out all over the place, and not always the easiest to look up quickly when you need them. Plus you asked the question, which is exactly the right thing to do when you're not sure; because that lets us tell you where to find the answer, which half of us found after being confused about the same thing in the past. 😉

Opportunity attacks are explicitly melee attacks as per the opportunity attack rules:
