The spell seems to indicate that being able to see the caster isn't relevant, and yet the entire effect is geared towards only perceiving the caster.
The enthrall spell indicates that the creatures being targeted by the caster must be able to hear said caster. While the caster needs to be able to see their targets, the targeted creatures don't necessarily need to see the caster for the spell to work. So, while the specific visualization of the spell working isn't completely clear, the effect seems to be primarily that your voice is the distracting aspect. Which is why they need to hear the caster, and why the spell ends if the caster can no longer speak.
As for the caster being hidden or being invisible, there's no apparent reason that this spell wouldn't work as long as the caster can still be heard. For example, the "melodic voice" that suddenly enthralls and distracts the band of goblins even though they cannot see the exact source of the sound...
Had a Player toss this scenario my way and I've been giving it some thought. I'd like to hear yours.
How does the Enthrall spell work when the person casting it is hidden; whether that be via Stealth or full-on invisibility?

Basically, they stare into space in your general direction.

Thanks so much
