In the spell description of Cloudkill it says that “The fog moves 10 feet away from you at the start of each of your turns, rolling along the surface of the ground.” I had a question or two regarding it’s movement.
The spell says that it moves 10 feet away from YOU not from where you cast the spell so if I ran to the other side of the cloud would it move back 10 feet? If I ran to the middle would it move in a random direction?

I think you're right - it's centered on a point, no on self, so rather than spreading outward from you, I think the entire cloud would move away from you at the start of your turn. If you move, it would change the cloud's direction.
(I could see a houserule where once the cloud starts to move, it continues moving that same direction unless something like gust or gust of wind changes the direction of movement...)
If a player in my game casts Cloudkill and moves I’ll reward them by letting them adjust what direction it moves by moving. It’s creative and it won’t always work.
It does move away from you, so moving can change its trajectory. Keep in mind though that Cloudkill is a 40 foot wide sphere; you need to move pretty quick even to get to the side of it, let alone the opposite side.
What happens if the cloud is centered on the (Yuan-Ti) caster? Where would it move then? Would it move at all if the caster stays put? RAW doesn't seem to cover that possibility. I doubt that it would move away in all directions creating an empty circle in the middle...

I don't think that is intended, but it does seem to be RAW. Its funny though.

I can picture a Sorcerer/Monk multi-class, esp with a Ring of Jumping, making use of this feature of the spell.
My plan was to use it as a Yuan-Ti who is immune to it’s deadly effects

If the caster moved to the very centre of it, I would probably rule that it continued in the same direction as it moved last time.
Alternatively (or if you cast it centered on yourself) you can roll a d8 and have it move randomly in an assigned direction (1-N, 2-NE, 3-E, etc)
