I understand that you can Counterspell Spirit Guardians as a reaction. My question is, if it was cast already, and it is not a reaction, should you be using Dispel Magic instead?
You can't counterspell a spell after it's been cast, so such as the case with Spirit Guardian, you'd want to use dispel magic on the spell effect
