We are starting at level 5. Not sure if I should get all 5 levels first for 3rd level spells, 4/1 for asi with hex/eb without agonizing blast, or 3/2 for the invocations and extra pact slot. If I take 4 levels with 1 level in hex, I’ll have my asi giving me 20 charisma thanks to custom lineage and I’ll have good ac with medium armor/shield. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
This is more than 2 weeks old, I doubt Tarak is still working on the build. But also, they're making a Hexblade, so agonizing blast isn't that important.

For soc/locks, you dont dip hexblade to hit stuff with a sword. You do it to get medium armor+shield, and to get hexbalde's curse
Hbc+hex+quickened eltrich blast.

Start with 1 sorc so you get Con save proficiency for your concentration
3 sor 2 lock first
Without agonizing you aren't getting the damage from cha which is where a major part of your damage comes from.
