Does the Twin metamagic just add a target to a single target spell or does it actually cast as two spells?
I recently picked up a Shadowfell shard and its effect is on one target of a spell. If it is two different spells, then both could suffer the effects of the curse.

IMHO, Earthdawn is still the best fantasy realm, Shadowrun is the best Sci-Fi realm, and Dark Sun is the best D&D realm.
When you cast a spell that targets only one creature and doesn’t have a range of self, you can spend a number of sorcery points equal to the spell’s level to target a second creature in range with the same spell
As you can see from the ability's description, it's explicitly one spell.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
