I thought your were able to change out the psionic spells with other enchantment or divination spells when you reached new levels? I want to swap out crown of madness for calm emotions, but I can’t figure out how to do it on DNDBeyond. Does anyone know how or did I misread it?
“Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a divination or an enchantment spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.”

thank you 😊
I don't think Psionic Spells does that and this should probably be in Bugs and Support.
D&D Beyond has said they haven't found a way to support this yet. The same thing happened with Divine Soul. It's been years and they still haven't been able to make that work. I just let my DM know when I've switched out a spell and keep a paper copy of it on hand for when I want to cast it. Is it optimal? No but it works. I would check out the Bugs and Support thread on this for more info.
Would be super easy to fix with a litte change to spell granting attribute in the dndbeyond system.
When you add the granted spell. instead of granting the spell directly, in the seetings (where you can limit the granted spell by name, spell level etc.) you would have to add a box for "school", then you can just add "enchantment" and "diviniation" in addition to the spell level and when a player first gains the level, you select the spell manualy from the now generated list. That way you can easily swap spells later too.
I just ran into the same issue on my first level up, had a feeling I might. Still disappointing. DndBeyond loses a lot of value as a character sheet if it makes you manage spells outside the app.
The way around I use is I created the subclass in the home-brew and edited the psionic spells section and just removed the specific spells and opened it up to all spells of the selected level and I just double check to make sure the spells are div or enchant spells before I add them or add the originals as I gain those spells.
My mic quality here is pretty crappy, and this uses Clockwork as the example, but it should work the same.

The aberrant mind is challenging, since it has two mechanisms for swapping spells. Each time you level up in the class, you can:
Replace one of your sorcerer spells known for another sorcerer spell; and
Replace one of your psionic spells with an enchantment or divination spell of the same level from the wizard, warlock, or sorcerer lists.
I had to build a spreadsheet to track the spell swaps, just so I didn't mess things up in my build. Only 3rd level now, but I've planned the character to ~12the level.
Since you get psionic spells at sorcerer levels 1,3,5,7, and 9, it means you can swap psionic spells granted, starting at level 2, even though psionic spell casting doesn't come on line until your level 6 ability.
For example, at sorcerer level 2 you can swap out Arms of Hadar on your psionic spell list for Tasha's Hideous Laughter (both are enchantment spells, with Tasha's being on the wizard list); then you could also swap out one of your known 1st level sorcerer spells for another 1st level spell on the sorcerer's list (e.g., swap mage armor for absorb elements).
Every level you progress in AM sorc, you can make up to two changes. Your psionic spell list caps out at level 5, but you "normal" spell list goes through level 9.
Like I said, I made a spreadsheet, because it can get messy.
What's strange is they should have the capability to fix this with existing functionality, like how fey touched or shadow touched feats can be changed on the fly with no issue.
So they have the functionality to do this but just choose not to. And we know they know the issue exists, too. So it is somehow something they can fix, something they know needs fixed, but they just refuse to actually fix it.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.

I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)

you can also make a homebrew copy of the subclass and edit in the appropriate spell
I do have problems understanding that process, but I definitely could try and trying will help me to understand it better. Thanks for the idea.

This is still the case 😖 I wish we would hear back from an official about this...

Keep up the good work Cyb3rm1nd. My problem is solved with this workaround. Subscribed to your channel for future content.
I would go the homebrew route. Any dm should be fine with that, as it's well within the rules of the class, just a problem with dndbeyond.

How is this still an issue two years later?? Can we get a proper fix please?
Yeah it is a problem for Clockwork sorcerer too.
