Having it consume 2 slots would make it a bad ability tough. You would be better off grabbing action surge with 2 lvls of fighter then since that at least resets on short rest,sorcery points do not.

Say I use twin spell on a casting a Chromatic orb.
Now does that consume 1 level 1 spell slot or 2?

Do i roll attacks for both, or do both orbs take my first roll/

Neither me, the DM, or one of the other players knew for certain.
Now I can tell the DM (But i know if he says it consumes two slots it consumes two slots.) how it works.
have them google the question and check Sage Advice .... 1 slot
