My game we have a homebrew faction intially made by discontents from The Harpers and The Emerald Enclave. They still affiliate with both from time to time, and are a little more geographically confined in Faerun, but tend to have their pulse on events in the multiverse impacting Faerun and sort of serve as a herald for such phenomena to the other two factions.

I love Zhentarim. Not as a PCs faction, necessarily, but as a general bad guy. I also love trying to infiltrate it for info.
