Has anyone used this in their character creation or to inspire ideas for your setting?
Its quite old, but came across a you tube video about this so was wondering if anyone here has heard about it?
2 examples;
1) Selestia Tanure, an aspiring warrior maiden whose mother is a member of the Earth Goddess faith.
Despite a well to do upbringing and trained by her great grandmother in her sect's martial art she has become quite jaded having recruited one of the few so-called Warforged who functions as her skald.
Not what you'd call heroic, but she occasionally defies her normal immaturity especially when confronted with corruption after an event when she was a very young child that helped her recognise the world was never fair nor just.
2) Tephas Halloran, son of herder he was recruited into a underworld syndicate helping to move supplies and people into and out of the nearby settlements.
His career as an adventurer started when he refused a mission as it was clear his patron intended to sell the aging family steed as part of a mission and he couldn't bear to let that happen to a steed that he looked upon as part of his family.
This led to the authorities shaking him down despite previous occasions this had never happened with such a focus leading him to realise his former patron was part of the local government.
Like his father a notorious teetotaler and considered a slacker he set out on an errand for his father eventually leading to him running a business helping adventurer's reach their destinations in return for some money but not as much if he could pick up deliveries for that location and the trip back supporting his new career.
Of course adventurer's try to recruit him when they don't attempt to rip him off only to discover this young barbarian isn't the easy mark they assume he is...
