Alright so a completely random idea I had for a one-shot. There's a company known as Mert's Protein Powder, and it's the most successful company in the world. It's owned by a goblin named Mert, who has a massive facility on top a seed of the world tree. It's a gigantic, city-sized nut that Mert mines up with captured slaves. He turns the nut mass into protein powder, which is super nutrient dense and tastes oddly similar to a happy almond, if you could know what a happy almond tastes like. The characters need to raid the nut, take over the protein powder facility, and free the slaves, claiming the facility as theirs.

And after the players succeed in overthrowing Mert and freeing the slaves . . . who will mine the nut? Who will make the protein powder? What will happen to all the people who depend upon Mert's Protein Powder to survive?

Will the players mine the nut themselves? They'll need help. So how will they attract a city-sized workforce of volunteers? They'll have to offer an impressive salary and benefits package. But won't that cause the price of Mert's Protein Powder to skyrocket? So, once again, people starve. 

I'm just saying, Mert may be evil, but the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know.
