Is there ever a reason why I wouldn't be able to choose an Aereni Wood Elf over a normal Wood Elf considering the former has everything the latter does but also a proficiency in a skill or tool. It's strictly mechanically better.
The only thing I can think of given their blurb is that it's because Aereni Elves won't always be in certain campaign settings?
