Through my years as a D&D player, I have created a few characters who have stuck by me for quite some time…
Kelipso Lilywhite, a Transgender Teifling Ranger/Druid with his trusty winter-wolf companion, Gordon.
Allison Vanderguard, a Female Elf Bard who is trying to overcome boundaries as a woman.
The Brand, a Male Human Fighter/Rogue who works as a mercenary and who runs the Red Star Gang.
I will not deny that I make characters faster then I blink, but a few have stuck with me through my years as a D&D player. Some I try to build on by writing short stories while others I use in campaigns to progress their stories. From Kelipso falling in love with Jason, a murderer from another plane, to Allison being burned by radiant angelic forces for her crimes, everyone of these characters has a story.

Sexuality: Panromantic/Pansexual
Class: Rogue/Warlock (Mastermind/The Fiend)
Background: Urchin turned Criminal

Timeline
Mason is born to a single mother. He is the second child. His elder sibling is a 10-year-old daughter.
Mason (age 7) is sacrificed to Delmar, the Devil of bounty and money, so the family might become rich. Mason breaks free from the ritual and escapes his family. He is marked by a pentagram scar branded into his chest that becomes a source of suffering for him the rest of his life.
Mason (age 10) becomes an urchin in a local city. He is sustained by conning people out of their money until he turns to flat pout stealing, turning him into a criminal.
Mason (age 12) has magically evaded the police and is living as a hired informant for people who need information.
Mason (age 17) is caught the police and is sentenced to 5 years in prison.
Mason (age 19) befriends a young man named Logan-5 (age unknown) who is in for being a mercenary. Mason learns of mercenary work and Bash begins to secretly teach him.
Mason (age 21) is released from prison and sets off to start work as a Merc.
Mason (age 23) adopts the alias known as the Brand. The symbol, a upside down red star, begins to pop up everywhere in the city and beyond due to his work as a Merc.
The Brand (age 25) takes on a job as a bounty hunter that sends him to a tavern (The same tavern as Kelipso and Allison) where he hunts down a man named Zack.
The Brand befriends a vampire named Lazarus. Lazarus is cursed to not be able to drink blood unless the person is willing, making him very hungry. Brand offers his blood to Lazarus.
The Brand begins to develop feelings for Lazarus and tells him outright. Lazarus accepts and the two begin dating.
The Brand (age 30) after being long gone from the tavern, gets words from Lazarus that he wants them to stop dating and the only reason that they were together was because The Brand was just a meal ticket.
The Brand (age 31) goes into Hells to confront Delmar and to kill the devil in a fit of rage after Lazarus breaks up with him. He kills the devil and goes on to slaughter a dozen until he is stopped by Asmodeus. Asmodeus, admiring the fiery anger and hate coursing in The Brand, offers him a deal. Kill everyone and anyone you like, and you will live forever.
The Brand gladly takes up Asmodeus offer and begins to kill hundreds. Bounties are placed on him, but no one succeeds.
The Brand (age 34) has visited Asmodeus on more then one occasion. The Archduke gifts him infernal power so he can never be harmed by Fire or by a Blade that is not magical. He can never be charmed nor frightened.
The Brand (age 35) meets Angelica, a half-elf woman who is in a village he has completely slaughtered. He is taken aback by her beauty and leaves her alone. He begins to covet her insanely until he appears before her and askes her to come with him. Unknown to him, she is being charmed by Grazz’t, a Demon who seeks to kill Asmodeus, and makes her accept.
The Brand (age 36) and Angelica bear a daughter named Eloise. Unlike either of them, she is bearing both infernal and abyssal blood. The Brand finds out that Angelica is being controlled by Grazz’t and kills her as an act of mercy upon her soul. He keeps her soul instead of sending to the Hells. Asmodeus allows this and leaves the mercenary alone for some time.
The Brand (age 38) has kept his daughter but hides her away from him. His old friend, Logan-5, takes the mantel as father for her and teachers her the art of becoming a mercenary as well.
Asmodeus calls for Brand to collect the soul of a man named Strahd. He is sent to a mist-shrouded world in which he cannot escape until the Dark Lord is killed. Like him, he cannot be harmed by simple weapons and The Brand doesn’t know magic so he calls upon dark forces, the same Strahd uses, and gives over his mortal body so he can become something worse than himself. He becomes a Demi-God of mixed Evil Powers. Instead of wasting his new powers, he employs people who also get trapped in Strahds domain to weaken the vampire before he kills him. None has succeeded yet.

"Forgive the mess, I am trying to regain my sanity again."
I honestly often see the ‘main character’ as the one centered around the inciting incident of a given season. For example, in TUC, Pete’s emergence as the Vox set the stage for the plot to emerge. That said, here are my opinions for the seasons I’ve watched:
TUC S1 - Pete TUC S2 https://omegle****/ - Sophia FH FY - Riz FH SY - Fig or Fabian (this one I’m the most iffy on) ACOC - Amethar ASO - Skip Neverafter - Mother Goose
I feel like Brennan does a good job of spreading the focus around though. Zac is very interesting because I feel like he does really well at supporting others players in RP and, although isn’t always centered, often shines brighter due to this IMO.
Through my years as a D&D player, I have created a few characters who have stuck by me for quite some time…
