I just have some questions... Metallic Dragons and Chromatic Dragons are known to be born rivals. Do the Metallic Dragonborns and Chromatics Dragonborns also have this rivalry, or is it just a Pure Dragons thing?
and, in the lore Chromatic Dragons are suppose to be evil, does that apply to dragonborns?
Dragonborns have as much free will about their alignment as any other humanoids.
The alignments of dragons depend upon your setting. In Faerûn, chromatic dragons are typically evil, whereas in Eberron, dragons have no fixed alignments.
In the PHB, Dragonborns are described as often being hybrids of different lineages, with less distinct scale colouration. Thus, not all Dragonborns will strongly identify with a particular dragon type.
Even presuming dragon alignment were still treated as restricted or referring to sources from before Wizards reversed their position on that, nothing I've seen has portrayed dragonborn personalities as mirroring same-color dragons especially closely. Dragonborn lore is pretty vague, though, so it wouldn't be impossible if you needed it to be that way?

In newer versions of the DND sourcebooks, Metallic and Chromatic dragons are no longer really locked into alignments (WOTC replaced “lawful evil” with “typically lawful evil”.) But in Faerun lore, dragonborn honestly have minimal connection to true dragons, so I would say no, there is no racial rivalry in that lore. The rivalry mostly comes from Bahamut vs Tiamat conflict anyway, so it is ultimately up to you to decide how you want your dragonborn want to act.
