its been a while since i posted part 1. there was a lot of stuff that i was doing and i kept on forgetting to write this stuff down. hopefully i can remember the events that happened all those weeks ago. so when we last left off, i was charging into battle with a vaporize undead spell while my other 2 allies were getting their asses handed to them. taking magic missiles to the face, slipping all over a grease spell, being slashed up by skele bois, all that crap. the orc man (who i am still gonna call guldan) was using all these spells like life suck and stuff. eventually, he used a spell that surrounded him with all the bones of the skeletons that were still up and created a bone golem. but my dm pronounced it differently. instead of saying go-lem he said gohl-um. and because of that, i imagined a gigantic gollum from lord of the rings made out of bones attacking us. the dm linked a picture of steve buscemi the chat and said thats what the golem looked like.
so then the golem starts to make its way towards the forest and it was up to us to stop it. luckily, the golem slipped on the grease that our bard laid down made it slip and fall over. i then jumped onto it and tried to make my way to gul'dan inside the golem, but the skeletons that made up the golem were morphing around and swinging at me with the swords they apparently were still holding. i was able to dodge all of them, but not without almost getting my foot crushed by the golem opening and closing its body. i got as close as i could and then let loose my fire breath. since the golem was covered in grease, it lit up like crazy. but it wasnt enough to stop it from getting back up and continue marching towards the forest. i was trying to hang on for dear life while also trying to climb up on the golem. i had to roll high to keep my grip but it was at this point where my luck was starting to run out and i started to roll low. i rolled a nat 1 and the golem took a good swing at my legs and broke them. i was still trying to hang on with my arms saying "who needs legs when you got arms like these" but i fell off the golem anyways. so there i was, on the ground with 2 broken legs while a giant bone golem is charging towards my party and the forest of dryads.
at this point, i was all out of options. i decided at that point to try to ask for a god to help us. now my character is actually a disgraced paladin. he still has all the abilities a normal paladin would have, but he doesnt have a god anymore. so because of that, the god that would help me was selected at random. after i called out for a god to help me, there was this glowing light in the sky that called out for me. the voice said "ah, someone needs my help, do they?" (i dont remember what was said exactly at this point, so im just gonna paraphrase here.) i said: "i need help! my legs are broken!" the voice says: "oh really? well then, let me help ya out there!" suddenly, feeling returns to my characters legs. he gets up to see that his legs... have turned into tentacles.
