So long story short, I have a character that is boyish, impulsive and somewhat reckless as an artificer, he grew up suffering abandonment which he found his pet dog, they grew up and went threw adventure after adventure......well a returning player came back with a new character.....we were in a challenge in which the new player inadvertently killed the dog by removing a light source and the dog was swarmed by shadows......what should i do? would my character go out in a blaze of glory avenging him or carry on? (he recently lost his best friend, along with 2 other party members due to story arc and bad choices) .....i want to choose something that fits the character but there are issues such as, my character would never forgive the new player for the responsibility of the dogs death and if I choose to carry him on how do i thematically keep the party 'together'
I suggest either magical John wick (except not the party member who killed the dog instead channel the energy towards enemies) OR your character slowly starts obsessing over making a concoction that'll bring the dog back. IDK I'm kinda new but those seem good to me.

Some guy with bad opinions and an unhealthy spamton obsession. He/Him, for you politically correct folks.
1. You're an artificer so if you're a Battlesmith, you could make your own dog-based steel defender. This could work in homage of the lost dog and maybe a small part of the dog is in the creation and occasionally comes through in the way the dog behaves. 2. Go on a mission about reviving your dog and make it discuss the morality of such an act, and who knows, it might step into the realm of Pet Sematary or 'work out for the best'. 3. Go on a side mission with the other PC in the search for redemption. By the sounds it was an accident, so some in-character relationship work and bonding to mend the tear between the characters. 4. Have a duel with the character and let the character get it out of their system.

There's a few possible options:

4. Have a duel with the character and let the character get it out of their system.
