so my knowledge of gods in DnD is VERY limited and the only gods I'm somewhat knowledgeable about are Bahamut the deity for lawful good clerics/paladins and Lathander. Would an Aasimar logically worship them or not?
Aasimar worship whom so ever they choose. A ... rather large proportion of them would worship some upper plane deity, of course. Well, supposedly. They have a good reputation, but really it seems to me all the ones you really meet are fallen =)

Blanket disclaimer: I only ever state opinion. But I can sound terribly dogmatic - so if you feel I'm trying to tell you what to think, I'm really not, I swear. I'm telling you what I think, that's all.

Point of correction: Bahamut is a deity who is lawful good, but not the only one. There are numerous gods of every alignment.
