Im going to play a Birthright orientated campaign in a homebrewsetting. Our Charakters starts at Lv 1 and the task is to manage a barony next to doing some adventure stuff.
I want to play an exiled wizard from the southern desert folk, who lost his family. He was one of the King advisor till someone betrayed him. He fall into disgrace. His own agenda to alter the past to get back his family. My problem is to explain why he starts at Lv 1.
Idea: cos he fall into disgrace the local wizard order take his power by deleting his memories and his spellbook. The ritual is not complety successful and he can escape. He lost a lot of his knowledge about his spells but not everything. Thanks to his last friend, he starts his journey to an unknown land.
What do you think? Any ideas of a better explanation?
