I am very fond of rp for my players sounds for them to try to recognize the language and they seem to enjoy it. I am currently unsure how to role play Aboleth and deep speech of aberration. Any ideas on how to do it ?
Born under the watch of something from the furthest corners of the far realms.... It knows all.... it sees all... and it asks: "What is it that you want to see?"... and my answer is... ALL"
I would make it strangely amplified, warped, with snippets of whispers and eldritch gibberish. The words themselves would be a garbled mishmash of letters, seemingly unpronounceable by a normal human.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
There are a couple aboleth videos on YouTube by someone name MrRhexx where he apparently goes into information stated in earlier editions of D&D. In one video he states that the large hole orifices on the aboleth are the closest thing it has to a mouth (or mouths) and that they make a series of gurgling sound that equates to the aboleth language and that to speak the language correctly requires multiple mouths.
As for what the aboleth would sound like to an adventurer. Well that would probably be the telepathy, which means its sound wouldn't be constrained by physical limitations. I guess whatever would be mentally appropriate to either the aboleth's alien mind or the adventurers ability to sense it would be appropriate enough.

I always describe Deepspeech as damp and echoing.

Think the "out of synch" echoe like Lich KIng in Warcraft/WoW.
Or Old Gods kind of voice( again from WoW, well can i do?, they have the best voice actors/overs)
"Normality is but an Illusion, Whats normal to the Spider, is only madness for the Fly"
Kain de Frostberg- Dark Knight - (Vengeance Pal3/ Hexblade 9), Port Mourn
Kain de Draakberg-Dark Knight lvl8-Avergreen(DitA)
