As stated above I am wondering and often thinking about would it be possible for the D&D dev's be open to receiving submissions of players and DM's impact to the story and lore of the D&D universe. Obviously the world needs to be over all in the firm and capable hands of the dev's who have created this world we all love and enjoy. But my wish is to see players and DM's submitting stories of things that have happened in their individual campaigns and how these "Stories, actions, and character quirks even" have impacted their campaigns and why these things bring about maybe more danger and excitement or even levity and enjoyment. And how these things now completely alter the interactions of NPC's or maybe even alters certain aspects of the world as laid out by D&D books and dungeon modules. These interacts might be added as a back story for NPC's so that they can say " Now hold on me wee fellow! This isn't my first time see'ing a wizard trying to use his cat to eaves drop on my secret goings on!". (Maybe a bland example but of course this community is full of creative minds).
The key idea of this post is in the hopes that Dev's can dip in and read over players and DM's stories, and pick out choose bits and pieces to inlay into the world of D&D. This is a idea of mine and I have no idea if people are interested in this or not. But to me it would be incredible to take a great piece of story telling or just something quirky from a campaign. And later see something show up in a new module or campaign and think "Did I have a small hand in this?". I think mystery is great and fuels the imagination greatly. I would also think it goes without saying that any story or snippet shared here would come with no guarantee that it would be used by the Dev's of course. But other players could also come here and pull from other peoples stories to enhance their own campaigns. I hope this has a chance to grow and become something wonderful.
Wizard's hires consultants on a regular basis to incorporate new ideas and expand on the lore of the setting. The best part of D&D is how you make it your own with your players though. There is nothing stopping you from including the stories of others and pilfering cool ideas from the stories of others.
I'm saying that this already happens on a small scale, maybe just not on the scale you desire. That being said, part of the strength of D&D is that there is no concrete world and you can come up with whatever you like. Are you talking about pre-made adventures specifically?
I'm not talking about PAID content from known personalities. I am talking about community based stories and stuff that has happened in campaigns @ the at home player level. Players submitting stories or their campaigns and how their campaigns and characters have impacted the base world D&D has provided. What I would like to see is snippets and bits from these stories find their way into future content created for D&D. I think it would be amazing for the community to see a tavern bear the name of one shared from a specific story submitted that happened in a community campaign. Or a NPC that was creatively made and had a huge impact on a groups players and DM. I understand the Dev's have a talented pool of people to create content. But what I am trying to shine light on is community content making its way into world content.
I think every player and DM would like to see their character or campaign become a “canon” thing in the world of D&D. With the time and effort that I put into my characters and storylines, I do want it going beyond my own table. However, the way you’re proposing it sounds like plagiarizing. If I post the entire backstory of doom for ZuZu and then Wizards decides to “borrow” it by publishing it in a book without consulting me? That’s criminal (well, technically, it would be a civil matter, but...). People deserve to be recognized for their creations and contributions.
I guess if we omit the "Dev's can pick up ideas from here" thing, this thread actually is pretty cool. I mean, I certainly would like to know how others played certain modules, npc's, etc.

I understand what you mean. But I think you are missing the point of my post. Maybe you skimmed my post a little too much lol?
